118 New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidates have thrown their weight behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the party’s 2028 presidential primaries. The group, comprising former parliamentary aspirants, described Dr. Bawumia as the most prepared, formidable, and winnable candidate to lead the NPP into the 2028 general election
Speaking on behalf of the group, former Sekondi MP Andrew Egyapa Mercer highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s experience, competence, vision, and leadership qualities as key reasons for their endorsement. They believe Dr. Bawumia’s leadership will strengthen party cohesion and position the NPP for victory in 2028
