The District Chief Executive for the Ahafo Ano South West District, Hon. Abubakar Sedik has thrown his support behind the Mankranso Senior High School football team as they begin their campaign in the Milo Inter-Schools Football Championship in the Ashanti Region.
During a brief but encouraging interaction with the team, Hon. Sedik donated an amount of GH₵5,000 to support their preparations and logistics for the competition. He further assured the players and technical handlers of additional incentive packages each time the team qualifies for the next stage of the tournament, describing sports as a powerful tool for youth development, discipline and talent discovery.
Hon. Sedik urged the players to remain focused, disciplined and determined, reminding them that they are not only representing their school but also the entire district. He expressed confidence in the team’s ability to excel and make the District proud at the regional level and beyond.
The District Chief Executive was accompanied by his Special Assistant, Hon. Paul Amegboe, the Headmaster of Mankranso Senior High School, Mr Issah Merigah, the District Physical Education Coordinator, Mr Frederick Adjei Mensah and the Zongo Caucus Coordinator for the NDC in the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, Hon. Abdul Razark.
School authorities and officials present commended Hon. Abubakar Sedik for his continuous commitment to education and sports development in the District, noting that the support would greatly motivate the team as they compete in the prestigious Milo Games.
The Mankranso SHS football team expressed their gratitude for the timely support and pledged to give their best to achieve success and bring honour to the school and the District.
