Former Swedish football star Zlatan Ibrahimović has heaped praise on Lionel Messi, describing the Argentine captain’s incredible determination and hunger for success despite already achieving almost everything in football.
Ibrahimović said Messi reached another level during his career, becoming a player that opponents struggled to contain.
“He became an animal and nobody could catch him. He just went on and on,” Ibrahimović said.
The former striker added that Messi’s performances continue to reflect the brilliance fans have become accustomed to seeing throughout his legendary career.
“This is the one I saw, we are used to seeing, and we’re still seeing,” he stated.
Ibrahimović also highlighted Messi’s remarkable trophy collection, including the FIFA World Cup, multiple Ballon d’Or awards and numerous other honours, but noted that the Barcelona legend’s desire for more success remains unmatched.
“Remember, he already won this World Cup. Many trophies, Ballon d’Or, everything. You can see his CV and it’s perfect, and he still wants it,” Ibrahimović added.
