A commitment to care and change— Trobu MP engages constituents and uplifts young girls and nurses

The Member of Parliament for the Trobu Constituency, Hon. Gloria Owusu, has reaffirmed her commitment to serving her constituents and advancing initiatives that support young girls and healthcare workers.

Speaking during a recent community engagement, Hon. Owusu emphasized that although she has spent just over a year in office and sits in opposition, her determination to leave a meaningful and lasting impact in the constituency remains unwavering. Accompanied by a small team, she explained that the visit forms part of her continuous outreach efforts focused on mentoring young girls and tackling issues such as teenage pregnancy.

She encouraged women and girls to develop clear life goals, stay focused, and invest in personal growth, stressing that determination and discipline are key to building a better future.

As part of the engagement, the MP joined families in celebrating babies born on the 22nd of the month, marking the occasion as a shared birthday moment with the newborns.

Hon. Owusu also unveiled a new initiative dubbed the “MP’s Award for Nurses and Daughters,” which aims to recognize and reward the dedication of nurses as well as the achievements of young women in the constituency. She expressed appreciation for the vital role nurses play in healthcare delivery, noting that their efforts do not go unnoticed.

The event concluded with a message of gratitude to community members for their continued support and contributions toward development in the constituency.
