Amansie Central District Assembly Distributes Essential Farm Inputs to Over 150 Farmers

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie Central, Emmanuel Obeng- Agyemang, alongside staff from the District Assembly, has distributed essential farming equipment and inputs to over 150 local farmers across the district.

The initiative aims to alleviate the operational challenges faced by local farmers, boosting their capacity to work efficiently and increase productivity on their respective farms.

Each beneficiary received a comprehensive package of agricultural inputs, which included,2 bags of fertilizer,2 bags of weedicide, 3 pairs of Wellington boots,and 2 cutlasses.

Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony held at the courtyard of the District Assembly’s Department of Agriculture, Hon. Obeng -Agyemang emphasized the socio-economic impact of supporting the agricultural sector.

“By equipping our farmers with the necessary tools, we are enabling them to produce nutritious food for our communities, generate sustainable incomes to support their families, and pass down valuable farming skills to the next generation,” the DCE stated.

He further underscored the vital role of agriculture in national development, noting that it remains the backbone of the Ghanaian economy and should be given the utmost priority.

The DCE concluded by reaffirming his alignment with national policy, stating that the assembly’s efforts directly support the President’s vision to strengthen national food security and promote practical agricultural education across the country.
