The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal , Wisdom Osei Boamah has cut the sod for the construction of three new projects in the Municipality.

The three project include a construction of 3- Unit classroom block for the good people of Bankyease, to improve access to quality education and a chip compound for both Atwima Agogo and Atwima Mim respectively.
Mr. Osei Boamah said the educational infrastructure were to ensure early access to education by the kindergarten pupil’s to enable them to benefit from the government’s free senior high school to better their lots.

The foundation of education is key to educational success and failure to get the basis of education right,will impede the attainment of education for all, he noted.
On the school infrastructure, he said communities are expected to benefit from staff common rooms, ICT center, toilets facilities, borehole water , office for headmasters, and many others.

Mr. Osei Boamah said the construction and furnishing of a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound will occupy nurses’ quarters inside the health center.
Addressing community members and media at the ground breaking ceremony held on Monday at the various project site, MCE Boamah indicated that the project, which is being funded through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), forms part of government efforts to expand access to quality healthcare at the community level.
When completed, the facility is expected to improve primary healthcare delivery and reduce the burden on residents who travel long distances to access medical services.
He added that the project reflects President John Dramani Mahama government’s commitment to delivering development directly to grassroots communities.
He described the initiative as “just the beginning” of several development interventions earmarked for the municipality.
The Adontenhene of Agogo and Bankyease expressed appreciation to the Municipal Chief Executive and government for the project and assured monitoring the project from start to completion of the stipulated 6 months given by the MCE.

The contractor for the CHPS compound projects, Cross ‘N’ crown engineering works construction, project Engineer ,Richard Osei assured MCE,Chiefs and community members of its readiness to commence work on schedule and deliver quality construction within the stipulated timeframe, with the possibility of completing the project ahead of schedule.
The community, on its part, pledged its full cooperation to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
The Assembly Member for Bankyease,Hon. Yusif Yahaya also pleaded with the Municipal Chief Executive to come to their aid and fix their deplorable roads and bad network for them.
