ATWIMA NWABIAGYA SOUTH MARKS 41ST NATIONAL FARMERS DAY CELEBRATION

The Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region joined the nation in celebrating the 41st National Farmers’ Day, themed “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.”

The celebration aimed to honor hardworking Ghanaian farmers who, for decades, have produced food for the country.

Addressing the gathering at Bankyease, the Municipal Chief Executive, Wisdom Osei Boamah, congratulated the farmers for their significant contribution to the nation’s growth and development.

He noted that agriculture remains paramount to President John Dramani Mahama, which is why several programs and policies have been implemented to shape the future of farmers in Ghana.

He added that President Mahama knows the importance of farming, describing agriculture as the bedrock of every country.

He emphasized that the President himself engages in farming activities to help feed citizens.

The Atwima Nwabiagya South MCE further admonished Ghanaians to embrace and patronize food produced locally to enable farmers to earn income to support their families.
