Big promise for Asante Mampong as Beatrice Owarewaa Siaw outlines job-creating factory agenda

An aspiring parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Mampong constituency, Beatrice Owarewaa Siaw, has unveiled plans to establish two factories in the area if elected as Member of Parliament.

Speaking to supporters after a health walk held on March 13, 2026, at Dufie Square, Madam Siaw described the initiative as a major step toward addressing unemployment and boosting the local economy. According to her, the factories will focus on processing locally produced goods, creating jobs, and increasing income for farmers in the constituency.

She disclosed that one of the factories will be a food processing facility dedicated to vegetable packaging, while the second will operate as a manufacturing plant similar to Kivo, aimed at adding value to local resources.

Madam Siaw emphasized that effective lobbying remains a key responsibility of any Member of Parliament, noting that she is prepared to attract meaningful development projects to Asante Mampong if given the mandate.

Her announcement was met with excitement from supporters, many of whom view the proposal as a practical solution to challenges such as unemployment and limited infrastructure in the area.

Beyond industrialization, the NPP hopeful highlighted several interventions she intends to champion, including improvements in healthcare and education, sanitation projects, and infrastructure development. She also pledged to drill 30 boreholes to improve access to clean water across the constituency.

Madam Siaw further called on members of the New Patriotic Party and the general public to remain united and rally behind the party ahead of the 2028 general elections. She encouraged eligible supporters to participate in the ongoing membership registration exercise at their respective polling stations.

She expressed confidence in her vision for the constituency, stating that her ambition is to bring transformative development to Asante Mampong through job creation, industrial growth, and improved living conditions.
