The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has once again demonstrated its commitment to practical governance and people-centered policies as the Nkoko Nkitinkiti project-one of President John Dramani Mahama’s flagship social intervention programmes-officially took off in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
The pilot distribution, which targeted the first batch of registered beneficiaries, signals the beginning of what party leaders describe as a revolution in grassroots poultry farming and household economic empowerment.

The event was graced by the Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Hon. Godwin Animli Dzogbazih-Dirani, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Albert Dakurah, constituency executives, and enthusiastic party supporters.
Addressing participants, Hon. Dzogbazih-Dirani underscored the visionary leadership of President Mahama, stating that Nkoko Nkitinkiti reflects the NDC’s philosophy of putting resources directly into the hands of the people rather than empty rhetoric.

This is a national policy with long-term benefits. We must all defend it and ensure its success. It is not a partisan gift but a strategic intervention to empower Ghanaians economically and nutritionally, the MP said.
He cautioned party faithful against actions that could undermine the programme, stressing that responsible implementation and unity are key to sustaining the policy.
Nkoko Nkitinkiti is not a nine-day wonder. It is here to stay and will outlive political cycles, he added.

For his part, Hon. Albert Dakurah assured constituents that the district assembly would rigorously monitor the implementation to ensure that the political promise translates into tangible socio-economic gains.

“This is evidence that the NDC keeps faith with the people. We will ensure that the programme delivers results and uplifts households across Adansi Asokwa,” the DCE noted.
The Nkoko Nkitinkiti initiative is expected to significantly reduce unemployment, especially among the youth and women, while strengthening food security nationwide.
