The Member of Parliament for the Akrofrom Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Joseph Azumah, has delivered a major boost to education by providing essential logistics valued at GHC 250,000 to the District Education Office and deserving students within the constituency.
The intervention, funded through his GETFund allocation, is aimed at enhancing supervision, improving teaching effectiveness, and raising academic performance across the district.
As part of the initiative, Hon. Azumah presented five brand-new motorcycles to Circuit Supervisors to support effective monitoring of schools. He also donated three new laptops to strengthen administrative work and awarded scholarships to 20 brilliant students who recently gained admission into various Senior High Schools.

The MP emphasized that providing education officers with the appropriate tools is critical to improving learning outcomes. He noted that it is unfair to expect high performance from supervisors and officers when they lack the basic resources needed to execute their duties.
Receiving the items on behalf of the District Education Directorate, the Deputy Director of Education in charge of Monitoring and Supervision, Charles Clifford Baah, expressed deep appreciation to the MP.
“We thank the MP for delivering on his promises. Education supervision and record-keeping will now see significant improvement,” he stated.
Hon. Azumah reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the educational sector in Akrofrom receives the necessary support to thrive, pledging to continue advocating for resources that uplift students and improve teaching and supervision across the district.
