In fulfillment of a key campaign pledge to promote livestock production under the Nkoko Nkitikiti Project, four-week-old chicks were commissioned two days ago at Siribuoso and distributed to farmers across the Atwima Mponua District.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen poultry farming and improve livelihoods within the district. The District Chief Executive, Hon. Isshaq Ibrahim expressed gratitude to Allah for the life and leadership of President H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and to the people of Ghana for the mandate entrusted to him. The President was also commended for honoring his commitment to the Ghanaian people by delivering on this important promise.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Isshaq Ibrahim it emphasized that the intervention is intended to benefit all Ghanaians, regardless of political affiliation. As a result, beneficiaries were selected from diverse communities across the district. Farmers were encouraged to take proper care of the chicks and to adopt innovative and sustainable poultry practices to ensure long-term productivity beyond the initial support.

He also extended a special appreciation to Yerepa Farms, which nurtured the day-old chicks to the four-week stage before distribution. Their professionalism and dedication were instrumental to the success of the exercise.
Further commendation was given to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Atwima Mponua District Agriculture Office, and all officers and partners whose tireless efforts contributed to the successful implementation of the project.

The initiative marks another step toward strengthening livelihoods, boosting food security, and empowering farmers across the Atwima Mponua District.
