Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has reiterated his commitment to youth empowerment by advocating for greater participation in agribusiness, particularly in palm plantation.
Speaking at the media launch of the Youth in Palm Plantation initiative, Shatta Wale shared his personal journey into agriculture, revealing how mentorship played a key role in inspiring his investment in the sector. He highlighted his involvement in field goal oil production, emphasizing that success in agribusiness requires patience, discipline, and long-term vision.

Addressing the gathering, the musician encouraged Ghanaian youth to take advantage of opportunities within the agricultural value chain, noting that the country’s fertile land presents significant potential for wealth creation. He urged young people to remain focused and align themselves with the right networks to grow sustainable businesses.
Shatta Wale also expressed appreciation to stakeholders and community members who have supported the initiative, including the provision of between 20,000 and 30,000 acres of land for the project. He called on more youth to embrace agriculture as a viable path to economic independence and national development.

The event, which marked the official media launch of the initiative, drew key industry players and stakeholders. In his closing remarks, the Master of Ceremonies for the event, commended Shatta Wale’s leadership and the success of the project rollout.

The programme concluded with a coordinated group photograph session, bringing together principal figures behind the initiative, including representatives from the National Youth Authority and other partners, to mark a significant step forward in promoting youth-driven agribusiness in Ghana.
