Incoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Women’s Organizer, Hajia Safia Mohammed, has donated GH₵5,000 to traders at the Odawna Rubber Market to support them following the devastating fire outbreak that destroyed several shops and properties.
The donation forms part of efforts to provide relief to affected traders who lost their goods and sources of livelihood in the disaster.
During her visit to the market, Hajia Safia Mohammed expressed sympathy to the victims and assured them of her support during this difficult period. She also called for collective efforts to help the affected traders recover and rebuild their businesses.
The traders, who shared accounts of their losses, expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the support as timely and helpful as they work towards restoring their livelihoods.
The Odawna Rubber Market fire has left many traders counting their losses, with calls for further assistance from relevant authorities and stakeholders to aid their recovery.
